How to Donate

The Design Center is a non-profit organization that relies on the support of individuals and businesses to accomplish our work. Your generous donation will make a significant contribution to promoting good design and public policy in transitional neighborhoods where investment can make a significant impact.

You can make a difference in your community by making a contribution today! Here are a few examples of how your donation can help:

$50 – Supports the technical assistance our staff provides at one community group meeting working on a neighborhood revitalization project.

$100 – Supports the staff time required for the Design Center to present important testimony to city council on legislation related to good design and planning.

$250 – Supports one Design Consults session where a homeowner or business owner receive a professional architecture, landscape or interior design consultation.

$500 – Supports the cost of screening a documentary film followed by a panel discussion (next scheduled film is “Incessant Visions: Letters from an Architect,” October 16, 2012)

$1,000 – Supports resource materials and coordination of an internship and education program at the Design Center focused on community engagement, design, and planning skills.

$2,500 – Supports a speaker series or seminar by community development and design professionals educating and connecting people with design and planning ideas and engaging them in public policy issues.

$5,000 – Supports technical assistance, design and planning services to develop a high impact project such as the reuse of an abandoned church, commercial district revitalization, or affordable housing project.
